Chapter Officers

Charlotte Cavanaugh-Kerr

President

Her Advice to New Members: In the beginning it is normal to feel a little uncomfortable with joining, as you don’t really know what becoming a Kappa really entails. Therefore my advice is to get involved and to never ever feel nervous about reaching out to people! Everyone in the chapter wants to get to know all of you, because we are all here to support and love every single one of you and help you feel more comfortable and a part of our sisterhood.

Justine Sitton

VP - Standards

Her Advice To New Members: What you put into this chapter, you will get out of it. So try and step out of your comfort zone by getting involved and going to the events! Every girl is in this chapter for a reason, so you are bound to find someone you click with.

Sara Dardari

VP- Organization

Her Advice To New Members: What you put into Kappa is what you get out of it! I suggest going to all the events and meetings as many people as you can! And don’t be afraid to reach out to actives because we all want to get to know you :)

Kailie Michalak

VP - Academic Excellence

Her Advice To New Members: Get to know your pledge class (and other pledge classes) sooner rather than later! I can assure you after some time you will eventually get to know everyone on some level, so reach out to girls that you may not know in order to foster that friendship sooner :-) It’s not weird at all to reach out to someone you might not have spoken to for lunch or coffee, so don’t be afraid to put yourself out there!

Livia Paschke

Secretary

Her Advice: I didn’t know a single girl going into my Kappa new member experience, and although it terrified me it was a situation that I really took advantage of!! I went on weekly coffee dates with new members and actives, and really got to know as many girls as I could during my new member experience. This allowed me to really create a support system and meet my mentors as well as my best friends! I’d love to get to know each and every one of you!! Please reach out if you want to go on a coffee date:)

Devin Codon

Treasurer

Her Advice: The initial new member process can be daunting but don’t go through it alone! Reach out to other new members and to actives! Everyone in our chapter would love to get to know you and share their unique kappa experiences including me :)!

Julia Macias

Marshal

Her Advice: It’s important to remind yourself that everyone’s experience is different, and you will find your place in Kappa! Also, don’t be afraid to reach out to anyone because I assure you they’d love to hang out and chat!!

Grace Moon

Education Chairman

Her Advice To New Members: Remember that you’re here for a reason ♡

Sophia Fisher

Events Chairman

Her Advice To New Members: Don’t hesitate to reach out to anyone and everyone! You are ALL here for a reason. As Kappas we are here to support one another and build each other up. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and get involved.

Elena Trask

Membership Chairman

Her Advice To New Members: Enjoy this season! Really take in every moment, every second. The new member process is so special and goes by so quickly. Volunteer for things, spend time with sisters, & say yes! You never know what opportunities may be waiting around the corner for you.

Mallory Marshall

New Member Chairwoman

Her Advice To New Members: Being a New Member is an overwhelming process but it is also a really fun and exciting time! The most important piece of advice I can give you is to not have any expectations of Kappa or being in a sorority in general; everyone’s experiences are completely different. You’ll discover that you get out of Kappa what you put in! Stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary but everyone was once in your shoes and knows how it feels. Reach out to New Members and Actives to hang out, I promise they’ll want to get to know you!

Elizabeth Chadwick

Panhellenic Representative

Her Advice To New Members: Now is your chance to take on new opportunities. Go for something completely out of your comfort zone that you would never expect out of yourself. Kappa has really been so life-changing for me because I took on new opportunities within this community that I never would have thought I would be able to do. With the support of this community, you are not only encouraged to take on new challenges, but you are so supported along the way. On another note, invest in a comfy pair of black heels immediately. They will be a life-saver for formal meetings.

Madison Mercer

Philanthropy Chairman

Her Advice To New Members: Kappa is exactly what you put into it! You get to decide what you want kappa to mean to you, and for most of us it means everything. Right now is really scary and overwhelming, but wait out the storm a little bit, I promise it will be the best decision you’ve ever made. You’re about to meet your bridesmaids and lifelong gal pals. Kappa can and will be the best thing you did for yourself. And reach out to girls! Literally any girl in kappa would be thrilled to get a text from you asking to go get coffee.

Kelly Itatani

Public Relations Chairman

Her Advice To New Members: Every woman in this chapter genuinely wants to see you grow and succeed! Don’t be afraid to reach out! You never know who you’re going to connect with.

Annie Brennan

Risk Management

Her Advice To New Members: Try not to let preconceived notions affect how you feel about your place in Kappa. When I was a new member, I had beliefs ranging from “all the new members are already friends and I’m not,” to “I’m supposed to meet my bridesmaids here”. I focused more on what I had heard and observed from other people’s experiences instead of focusing on my own. It took me some time, but I finally realized that my experiences were just as exciting and valid! If it takes you more time to make connections, it’s ok! Go it at your own pace. Don’t feel like you’re “doing it wrong” if you don’t feel the spark on day one. Kappa is here for you for life, so you’ve got a lifetime to find out what it means to you. And from the bottom of my heart, I’m so glad you’re here.

Cli Scully

House Chairman

One of the best parts of being in Kappa is that you have amazing girls supporting you so try to step out of your comfort zone and put yourself out there! Kappa is the place to grow as a person and reach your full potential with whatever you do inside and outside of the chapter. I was nervous to join CC at first but then I realized I had all my sisters there when I need them and that’s the best feeling ever. Your sisters are here for you so take advantage of that and try to challenge yourself by putting yourself out there!
